To me this is definition of friendship. Till few years back, I used
to be confused [I still am] about all the pre-assigned relationships and all the
new people pouring in, in my life ,whom I was supposed to be
friend with. But then what the hell is all this friendship thing about?!....roam around with few guys who are interested in you because they either have no better option or all options look same to them, or they gain something from you..?. You wont disagree with me if i say most [may be all] relationships are based on selfish interests.
Well I won't say I am not selfish. Every human is. But isn't it possible to keep a relationship away from any such vested interest. Today ,if I look back to all the friends I ever had, I would most probably be able to connect a 'reason' for every 'friendship'. I don't like these reasons.
To me, friendship, for that matter any relationship, should be free from any sort of hierarchy. What I mean by this is, in a relation ship, status of both [all] the people involved should be exactly equal. None should feel superior to other.
Most importantly there should be no place for 'counseling'. There are professionals for that..!....Well, this seems little confusing. I don't say stop giving advices, stop any fruitful discussion. But dont 'judge'. Even if some wrong happens. Be there. This process is not one-way. There must be understanding from both sides. Reciprocation is must.
I love the 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' tv series, have seen the full series['bout 240 episodes] more then 10 times.[stopped counting after 10].It has given me hours of heartful laughs in my most trying times. Thanks to the actors the writers of this series.
I love the unselfish,non-judgmental behavior of these people. They continued the show for 10 years. Thats a hell lot of time for any ensemble to go on. Its takes a lot of personal and group effort to make people stick. I don't know much about their personal life, but still its through interviews that I could hear some truly wonderful comments shared between them. Lisa Kudrow[screen name Phoebe] had to say this about Jennifer Aniston[Rachel] -
"....Jennifer who is just one big throbbing heart... to me... That's supposed to sound good, not... (there's laughing) Because you're all emotion and feeling and support. She's right there with you. Even if you said "I accidentally killed someone." (Jennifer would say)"Honey, it wasn't your fault. It couldn't have been your fault.", you know. Just that kind of loyal, unconditional support and love, is who you are to me. Just... yeah.."
Yeah, unconditional is the word.
